Hardwood is in!

The flooring company came to the house yesterday to install our hardwood floors!  We are very happy with them!  They were still working hard when we stopped by at 7 pm so we didn't get any pics of the finished look.  For those who are interested we chose Bruce's Frontier Collection in Hickory Golden Brown. It is an engineered hardwood (hand scraped). We chose hardwood for the entire first floor.  Oh, and the stone guys failed to show up again yesterday.

  3. Gorgeous floors! Love that hand scraped look.

It is cool they work late to get things done, but you're right - it does make it hard to get a good look or have good light for pictures :)

    Almost there!

  5. Love the floors, we are doing handscraped engineered on the entire first floor too, except the kitchen and morning room(doing tile).
We are also doing the Bucks County Ledgestone for our outside plus we did the stone fireplace. I can't wait to see your stone on the house.

  6. Thanks!! I'm hoping the hand scraped look is a little more forgiving with the kids! The bucks county ledge stone is a great color! I think it goes with just about every color! We thought about the stone fireplace inside but I wasn't sure how I felt about the stone going all the way to the ceiling. We decided on the slate instead.

    1. The handscraped should hold up better with kids and pets, the wear will add character(at least that is what we are hoping too)
